Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the former president, has reacted on returning as Nigeria president in 2023.
In his speech he said that it is too early to talk of returning to office in 2023.
Speculations were swirling about, connecting the politician born in Bayelsa to a potential return to the office he left 5 years ago.
But as Jonathan could not offer a definite position on his rumoured ambition, the speculation will have to continue.
Jonathan was asked on Friday after speaking briefly with reporters after attending an event organised by the Commonwealth Community Choir in Abuja, the capital of the country, if he will enter the 2023 presidential race, and he said It’s too early to talk about that.”
In 2015, the then incumbent President, Jonathan, was beaten by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Remember that Jonathan was recently visited by some governors of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and party leaders, as pressure continues to grow on him to contest the 2023 election.
They visited Jonathan at his Abuja residence to felicitate with him on his 63rd birthday anniversary.
