Unknown gunmen have killed a 300-level Linguistics student of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, AAUA, simply identified as Emmanuel.
Naturenex learnt that Emmanuel was shot dead in one of the private students’ hostels in the university community in Ondo State.
According to TVC News, the Vice Chairman of the National Association of Universities Students, NAUS, Ondo Campus Monitoring Committee, Oladele Emmanuel, has called on security agents and the management of the university to investigate the matter and bring the culprits to book.
He appealed to the university management, the state government, and the security operatives to conduct a thorough investigation into this incident.
The killing has reportedly sent shockwaves through the university town.

Meanwhile, Gunmen suspected to be militias have killed 18 persons, kidnapped three others and destroyed properties worth millions of Naira at Mbacher council ward of the Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.
Naija News learnt that the incident, which happened on Saturday morning, also left two people injured while many have been displaced for fear of further attacks.
Confirming the attack, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Kastina-Ala LGA, Justine Shaku, said the gunmen stormed the village, wreaked havoc and left the area before the arrival of soldiers.
The council boss further confirmed that before yesterday’s killings, some people were kidnapped including one Igbo man and his two children.
