About sixty people have been killed in eight villages of Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

Though some residents and those close to the villages already attacked have abandoned their residencies and alledged fled to safe areas, particularly, Riba town.

It was also gathered that the villages affected in the bandit’s attack are Koro, kimpi, Gaya, Dimi, Zutu, Rafin Gora and Iguenge villages.

While confirming the incident, the state police command spokesperson, DSP Nafiu Abubakar said that security operatives have been deployed to the affected areas to restore calm.
He also said that the police were still counting the number of the dead bodies hence an exact figure on the number of casualties can’t be confirmed yet.
