But, before you start creating a post to your WordPress site as Admin Or as an editor to a site, you can easily login site dashboard (E.g domain.com/wp-admin) after you receiving an email to reset your password.

In your dashboard, you have two options to create your post, but you can simply click at the plus sign (+New) at the top of your dashboard, then click Post.

  1. Creating Article/ Post Title and blocks:

Before you start creating a post; you should note that WordPress has so many blocks interface to enable you add your posts in a different format.

However, the first block is where should put the title of your post content.

Adding your content requires adding a new block, where you can create post content.

You can either click on any of the two add buttons on the screen to select and add a block, then you will write your post.

3. Adding Media like Image and Videos:

Just as I’ve earlier said that WordPress contains so many blocks formats in creating content items which include paragraph, images, embeds (links), widgets, gallery etc, that helps in creating a great post’s content.

Adding Image in your content simply requires you to click on an image block, then you click on upload to add the image in your content.

Next: If you want to also add text and image next to each other, then you can use the ‘Media & Text’ block. This block helps you wrap text around the image in WordPress.

Next: To add video in content requires you to simply click on embed block to insert the video you want to use OR you can simply copy and paste the ant video URL (link) to a paragraph block instead, then WordPress will automatically convert it into a video embed block.

Featured Image is also known as post thumbnail. It’s the main image that portrays the article content. The Featured Image is used to draw the attention of your readers into your article post, which supposed to be very catchy. It’s the image that’s prominently displayed in front of a website homepage.

You will find the option to add a featured image to your post in the right column under the Document settings.
