Stephen Ifeanyichukwu Ejezie, a former employee at Access Bank, has been accused of secretly recording his fellow staff members while they used the restroom at the bank’s premises.
According to insider accounts, Ejezie, who worked as a quality assurance specialist, allegedly planted a phone inside the female restroom during the early hours of the morning around 1:30 a.m. with the intent to record unsuspecting colleagues.
Reports from FIJ revealed that due to the demanding nature of their job, staff members often stayed overnight at the office, where they slept and took their baths. A source narrated how the incident came to light, saying, “Ejezie snuck into the ladies’ restroom to hide his camera. A lady taking her bath noticed a phone recording her from the toilet cubicle.” The phone was discovered after the cubicle door was forcefully opened, and Ejezie was reportedly found at the scene.
When confronted, “He said he didn’t know how he got there but couldn’t explain the video recording.”
Following the discovery, authorities reportedly raided his residence, where they allegedly found over 400 videos of various Access Bank staff, either nude or bathing, stored on his laptop. Sources alleged, “He sells them online, including on OnlyFans and Telegram, mostly to white people and Indians.”
Former colleagues expressed shock over the incident, describing him as “cool” and “an exceptional agent.” One of them admitted, “No one would ever have thought this would come from him.”
However, the situation has sparked concerns within the organization. Staff members fear the bank might prioritize its reputation over the welfare of the victims. One employee expressed anxiety about the possible repercussions, asking, “What happens if the videos he already sold circulate online?”
An emergency staff meeting was held on Friday, where management banned overnight stays in the office and warned of strict penalties for any future misconduct. But employees claim this has done little to address the trauma they face. “There’s no real support offered,” a source revealed to FIJ. “Many are tr@¥matised already. Some people don’t even know they were recorded. It could haunt them in the future, even politically.”
As of the time of this report, Access Bank has yet to release an official statement addressing the incident.
