Super Eagles Goalkeeper Receives Threats After Nigeria’s Victory Against South AfricaSuper Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has allegedly been threatened following Nigeria’s qualifying match win against South Africa.
Former Super Eagles International footballer, Idah Peterside, revealed that Nwabali has received messages warning him not to return to South Africa.
Peterside stated;
“The biggest problem we have had is that we have gotten some messages where people have sent messages to the goalkeeper threatening him.”
He further mentioned that individuals have told the goalkeeper not to come back to South Africa since he prevented them from scoring. While no violence has been reported, the threats have caused concern
