The disappearance of John Udochukwu Elekwachi has caused fear and uncertainty among many due to the mysterious circumstances surrounding his abduction. According to reports, armed men abducted Elekwachi from his lodge in the middle of the night shortly after he completed his final year examination at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Elekwachi, known as a campus blogger, was taken away by some unidentified men, leaving his family distressed and desperate for information about his whereabouts.
Despite efforts by his elder sister, Uchendu, to seek help from various authorities such as the Enugu State Criminal Investigation Department, the Department of Security Services, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, no updates have been provided regarding Elekwachi’s location.
Uchendu expressed her concern over the incident, stating that the family has been left in the dark about his situation. With no communication from the abductors since the incident, the family remains anxious and is actively trying to find Elekwachi and ensure his safe return.
According to Punch, Uchendu said, “I was in Port Harcourt on Tuesday when they called me. The landlady said some unknown men came to my brother’s lodge with four Hilux and one Jeep by 3 a.m., and took him away on Monday. Since then, we have not heard from him, and those people have not called since then.
“I have gone to report in various places. We went to the Enugu State Criminal Investigation Department, the Department of Security Services, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to make complaints, but they said he was not there. I have not been myself since then.”
