The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has said that he still has high regard for his friendship with the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar. Recall that Peter Obi ran as the vice presidential candidate of Atiku Abubakar under the PDP in the 2019 election but they lost to President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a video currently making rounds on social media, Peter Obi was addressing the press when he said that he’s still friends with Atiku even as they’re contesting under different political parties.
He described Atiku as his senior brother, a unifier, and a good man who believes in Nigeria. However, he said that he’s also contesting for the presidency and he aims to solve Nigeria.
He said;
“He (Atiku) is my leader, he’s my boss and a senior brother, if he invites me for anything I’ll attend. Aspiring does not say I should not keep my relationship that is very cordial and everything. I’m aspiring but remember I’ve always said it, Atiku is a unifier, he believes in Nigeria, he’s a good man and every time he invites me for anything I’ll be there. Notwithstanding, I’m aspiring, I want to solve Nigeria.”
