Just at the return of Sen. Victor Umeh to the country, he, together with Hon. Ikeobi Ejiofor, Barr. Obiadi Ndubuisi and other lovers of the memorial grammar school, rushed to his Alma mater; Bubendorff to see the damages of metted out the church, school and students. Some of the damages included the bringing down of fences, some part of the church was brought down, bulleting of the roofs and setting up of tyres to burn the church. After the senator’s inspections, he moved to address the students with words of encouragement.

In his address to the students, he urged the students to be of good faith which comes with an assurance of security of their lives and properties. He reminded them that no one can bring the church down and anyone who tries to fight the church of Christ would not meet loom but he prays for the forgiveness of the trespassers. Quoting Matt. 16:18, nothing shall prevail against the church.

The Senator furthered by praising the activism spirit of the students who tried to defend the church and school at large. This led to a song of Victor sang by the Students.

A visit to the Auxillary Bishop of Awka Diocese; Most Rev. Jonas Benson Okoye by Sen. Victor Umeh and his entourage was to show how remorseful they were to the incident.
