The Federal Government has extended the ban on Brazil, Turkey, and Indian travelers by one month, after an increase in COVID-19 outbreak in the countries.
This was disclosed yesterday in Abuja, by Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to Government of the Federation, who stated that the restriction is coming after many sitting by the panels over the rising COVID — 19 cases in those countries and South Africa may be included in the list too.
He further stated that “South Africa, recorded over 100,000 COVID — 19 cases during a week and over 20,000 cases in a day, hence we need to tighten our borders and be more vigilant”.
He said, the ban on Brazil, Turkey, and Indian travelers vary, and we are working with different surveillance and risk communications.
“He also urged all encourage public members to be vigilant, as spikes are seen around Africa Nations.
