During a recent event where suspected bandits and kidnappers were paraded alongside seized weapons, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Nigerian Police Force’s Public Relations Officer, issues a crucial warning.
In a video recently shared on YouTube by Channels TV, Adejobi advised people to speak out if they witness suspicious behavior, particularly if they see individuals smoking or taking drugs. He cautioned that those who fail to raise an alarm when they see suspicious behavior may become victims of crimes.
He pointed out that while the suspects paraded may seem harmless, they reveal their true nature when engaging in criminal activities. He also emphasized that criminals often obtain weapons illegally, but assured that law enforcement would apprehend them.
In Adejobi’s words: “When you see them around you smoking or taking drugs, shout; if you don’t shout you may be their next victim. When you see them here they are very gentle, but when you see them in operation, forget it”.
