Breaking: Engine Roller Kills 27-Year-Old Steel Company Worker In Ogun

Yahaya Ibrahim, a 27-year-old employee of KAM Steel Integrated Company, has reportedly died at the company’s factory along the Sagamu-Ogijo Expressway in Ogun State.

NATURENEX learnt that the engine roller killed Ibrahim after slipping on the machine while working at the company’s plant.

According to Punch, the incident occurred on Sunday at 4:50 am when the deceased was operating the engine roller and suddenly fell onto the roller.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, stated that the deceased’s body had been taken to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital morgue.

She said, “Our men on traffic inspection visited the scene when we received a distress call. It was an industrial accident. The body has been deposited at the OOUTH morgue in Sagamu.”

Gunmen Kill PoS Operator In Ogun State

Meanwhile, a Point of Sale (POS) operator, Mutiu Salako, has been fatally shot by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Oke Lantoro, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

NATURENEX reports that the incident, which took place at around 6 pm on Sunday, initially sparked rumours of a cult-related attack.

However, the Ogun State Police Command, through its spokesperson Omolola Odutola, clarified on Monday that the incident was an attempted robbery, not related to cult activities.

The police have since taken swift action in response to the attack.
