Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to comments by Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom. The Governor had blamed President Buhari for not keeping the Fulani herdsmen in order because Buhari is also Fulani.

Buhari responded to the claims made by Ortom in an interview with Arise TV on Thursday.

“The problem is trying to understand the culture of the cattle rearers. There is a cultural difference between the Tiv and the Fulani. So, the governor of Benue said I am not disciplining the cattle rearers because I am one of them.”
