CBN reacts over the allege  hack on their website

The Central Bank of Nigeria has reacted after online reports on the 16th October 2020 that their website was allegedly hacked by ‘Anonymous’, a popular group of internet hackers.

Reacting to the unconfirmed reports on their official Twitter handle, Central Bank of Nigeria said that contrary to claims in the social media alleging that the website of the Central Bank of Nigeria was hacked, they wish to state categorically clear that their official website is all but secure. “Our Website Was Not Hacked”, they wrote

They, however, assure the general public and all their stakeholders that the Central Bank of Nigeria is completely protected and that there is no cause for alarm.

The CBN also advised the online community to desist from peddling false news aimed at undermining the integrity of the Central Bank of Nigeria. In Central Bank of Nigeria’s words, they said “(CBN) is our collective asset)
