The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has declined to grant bail to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Kanu, who has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since his arrest in June 2021, appeared before the court on Tuesday.
Despite Kanu’s application for bail, the court ruled against it, citing the gravity of the terrorism-related charges against him. Instead, the court issued fresh orders for accelerated hearing of the case.
The decision marks another development in Kanu’s legal battle, as he continues to face charges related to terrorism. Kanu’s arrest in 2021 sparked widespread controversy and raised concerns about human rights violations, with supporters of the IPOB leader calling for his release.
May God keep Nnamdi Kanu alive to see success and victory at the end in Jesus Mighty name????????
