Crisis in Ibadan as three OPC boys were killed by alleged youth thugs.
Confirming the incident, Comrade Rotimi Olumo, the Oyo State Oodua People Congress Coordinator said, the crisis in Ibadan earlier today lead to the death of two OPC boys killed by the thugs, and about seven of the youth gang have been reported dead.
While expatiating, he said “the crisis in Ibadan as three OPC boys were killed by alleged youth thugs, I received a distress call that my boys were being attacked in their residence in the midnight and two have been killed and about three people critically injured.
According to him, at least five people were feared dead when the men of the OPC clashed with youths who were suspected to be members of a gang led by their leader named Dare Jalaruru.
He also alleged that his boys were only killed in retaliation after they were killed by the Jalarruru led the gang.
Further stated that the cause of the incident was when the gang robbed people of their phone, money, bag some motorcycles, they couldn’t transport all the stolen goods once so they divided into two sets and after they came back to transport the second set, they were caught by the Oodua people.
We have begun an investigation, to ascertain the number of our men that was killed and wounded.
