Portuguese football icon, Cristiano Ronaldo is the highest-earning footballer in the Saudi Pro League in 2024 and he is expected to remain so until his current contract with Al Nassr expires in June 2025.
Recall that Cristiano Ronaldo became the biggest active player to move to the Saudi Pro League after Manchester United terminated his contract in 2022.
Since the 39-year-old Portuguese football icon touched down in the country, many A-grade footballers have moved to the league from various top clubs in Europe.
According to Transfermarkt, Ronaldo currently earns €200 million per season as a player of Al Nassr, €100 million more than Karim Benzema who refused to extend his contract with Real Madrid in 2023 just to switch to Al Ittihad.
The 36-year-old French striker is currently the second highest-paid footballer in the Saudi Pro League, on the same earnings as second-placed former FC Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain forward, Neymar.
