Ex-Man Utd man, Odion Ighalo has heaped praises on Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello. He described the governor as a ‘bridge biulder’ and a source of hope for young Nigerians.
The governor hosted Odion Ighalo in his Abuja residence on Monday.
Ighalo, who praised Gov. Yahaya for organising a reception for ex-Nigeria players in Lokoja, commended the governor’s patroitism.
Odion Ighalo suggested that the act of the governor, is a motivation to aspiring athletes in the country.
While encouraging other leaders to copy Yahaya Bello, Ighalo said the governor is a leader who has a good character for development.
Ighalo commended Gov. Bello for his work in Kogi. He however, urged the governor to speak on behalf of the young Nigerians.
Gov. Yahaya Bello, responding to this, thanked the former super eagles star for the visit.
While urging Ighalo to continue developing sports in the lower level, he called on Nigerians to be United.
However, the governor also commended Ighalo for his role in elevating the country in sports on and off the pitch.
Ighalo is currently in Nigeria, however, the former super eagles star plays in the Saudi Arabian league.
