The sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Akwa Ibom, Mathew Olanisaye has promised safer roads for users. He said that the Command is ready to ensure safer roads and safe driving as the order of the day.

Mr. Mathew said this during a visit to Mr. Frank Archibong, the commissioner of Local Government Affairs in Uyo.

Olanisaye however, praised the commission over its contribution to public education on safe driving.

Mathew also adviced the government and road users to corporate with the FRSC to curb reckless driving.

“All we need is government and citizens’ collaboration to enable us achieve our goal in our fight against road recklessness,” Mathew said.

The sector commander also urged road users to keep their vehicles in good shape and adhere to traffic rules.

Mathew believes that motorist should be educated on road signs and rules.

“Understanding road traffic signs, keeping to safety tips by road users and effective collaboration between stakeholders and the agency will bring about more service delivery for citizens and help in curtailing road accident,” he added.

Mr. Frank commended FRSC Akwa Ibom and it’s commander, Mathew Olarinsaye. The commissioner also gave his words to support the FRSC in the state.
