Fubara Reacts as Nwaeke’s Wife Raises Alarm Over Husband’s Sudden Disappearance

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has responded to concerns raised by the wife of former Head of Service, Dr. George Nwaeke, over his sudden disappearance.

Nwaeke’s wife publicly expressed distress after losing contact with her husband, who had traveled to Abuja. In an emotional appeal, she revealed that he had received a call from someone named Ogiri before leaving. “He went to Abuja this morning. He told me Ogiri called him, but since then, I haven’t been able to reach him. I don’t know if he’s alive. Please help me,” she pleaded, urging security agencies to intervene.

Reacting to the situation, Governor Fubara expressed shock at the developments. While addressing the issue, he also dismissed recent allegations by Nwaeke, who had accused him of being involved in the bombing of the Rivers State House of Assembly. Fubara questioned the motive behind such claims and hinted at possible external pressure influencing Nwaeke’s statements.

“After everything I have done for you people, how have I wronged him? Why would he fabricate such lies against me?” the governor asked.

Despite his disappointment, Fubara assured that efforts would be made to uncover the truth about Nwaeke’s whereabouts. “No problem, we will try and see what we can do,” he stated.
