“He does not have the capacity” – Obaseki sacks Edo state health commissioner

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo has sacked the state’s Commissioner for Health, Samuel Alli.

The governor disclosed this in a post on X a few minutes ago.

His words: “I was at the Stella Obasanjo Hospital in the state capital earlier today to give a marching order that I will now personally take responsibility for supervising all our health projects and ensure we deliver on all the promises we made relating to the health sector.

“The ongoing construction project at the hospital should have been completed two months ago because I promised the people of Edo that I would finish all my projects before leaving office.

“I have concluded that the head of the Ministry of Health, the Commissioner for Health, does not have the capacity to complete this project.

“I will be meeting with the director of health weekly, and this will be the new trend. Anyone who does not meet expectations and lacks the capacity to deliver will be shown the way out.”
