The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council (OYC) has expressed disgust over the ongoing military invasion of Orlu in Imo State in pursuit of the men of Eastern Security Network, adding that Governor Hope Uzodinma and others would pay dearly for it.
Recall that the Nigerian Military two days ago, carried out airstrikes in Orlu, the second largest city in Imo State which led to tension and massive outrage in the area.
However, things went out of hands after Governor Hope Uzodinma admitted that he was the one that permitted the Nigerian Military to invade Orlu. Uzodinma had described ESN operatives as hoodlums, adding that they would be treated as murderers.
Reacting to Gov Uzodinma’s statement, Mazi Okwu, the President-General of OYC warned that Gov Uzodinma and others involved would not go scot free over any life that dies in the process.
He was angry that the Nigerian military would always jump at the idea of carrying out operations in Igbo land while other areas faced with insecurity are neglected.
Okwu also enjoined the Southeast governors to sit up and not to fold their hands and watch genocide happen in Igboland again.
