Anthony Joshua has revealed that acting on advice from football legend Cristiano Ronaldo was one of the proudest moments of his fighting career. Joshua is set to defend his IBF World Heavyweight title against Daniel Dubois in an all-British showdown at Wembley.
Joshua met Ronaldo in March, following his knockout victory over former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in Riyadh. In a recent interview with TNT Sports, Joshua shared details of their conversation.
Ronaldo, the 39-year-old Portuguese football icon, shared his diet and exercise routine with Joshua, highlighting its effectiveness. Joshua implemented Ronaldo’s suggestions, including prioritizing seven hours of sleep.
“The regimen he keeps to stay healthy,” Joshua said. “To be fair, look at that – [I got] seven hours’ sleep after following some of his recommendations. That’s my proudest moment to date.”
Ronaldo’s influence has clearly made an impact on Joshua’s approach to his training and well-being.
