Hunger Strike: Tems not eaten for the past 34 hours after being arrested alongside Omah Lay in Uganda (video)

Tems, a Nigerian musician, went on a hunger strike after being arrested in Uganda alongside Omah Lay.

Recall, After performing at a show in the country, the Nigerian singers were arrested and charged with “negligently doing acts likely to spread infectious diseases” Tems was taken to Kigo prison, while Omah Lay was taken to Kitalya prison.

On Monday Decembe 14, Tems was seen having a conversation with a female Ugandan official in a video from the court proceeding.

She said she didn’t want food and went without it for 34 hours. Although the official said they care for their well-being, she said it is her body and she’s going to go without food for the next 48 hours.
