‘I Was High, Didn’t Mean To Kill The Girl’ – Suspect

Nweke Chukwuemeka, a suspect detained in Enugu State for the tragic death of his neighbor’s young daughter, recounted his version of events while being presented by the police.

In a recent video shared by AIT, Chukwuemeka claimed he did not intentionally kill the girl. He explained that he had a good relationship with her, often playing with her and buying her things. On the day of the incident, he said he was being chased by people who were after his life and decided to take the girl hostage, hoping to use her as protection. He held a knife to her neck as he attempted to flee with her, but the situation tragically escalated, leading to her death.

In Chukwuemeka’s words: “I was high truly, I took only action bitters and weed, I didn’t kill the girl intentionally because I have been playing with this girl and buying things for her. I did not kill her intentionally, I was running for my life and I wanted to use the girl to save my life because some people were after me. I held the girl to save my life but everything got to be like this. I held the knife to the girls neck when I wanted to run with her”. I was holding the knife back of the neck when I wanted to run with her out of the stir.
