Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Olanipekun Olukoyede has announced his plan of prosecuting more than 60 financial institutions that carried out illegal investment operations in Nigeria and disappeared with the funds of many people in the country.
Olanipekun Olukoyede who made such announcement at the 20th Lagos Leadership Conference, which was uploaded online by NEWSCENTRALTV few minutes ago, revealed that the anti-graft agency is currently looking into the activities of some regulatory agencies and forex malpractices in the country, adding that they have discovered that the private sector is more culpable than the public sector.
Speaking further, Olanipekun Olukoyede mentioned that he is going to arraign over 60 financial houses that operated pyramid schemes and ran away from the country.
Olanipekun Olukoyede said;
“Now, I am going to arraign over 60 financial houses that operated pyramid schemes, exploited Nigerians of their hard earned money without any licence, collected billions and ran away. And such people think they will have peace. They can only run, they cannot hide, it’s a matter of time.”
