At least two persons have been confirmed dead in rivalry cult clash. The incident reportedly happened in Etim Ekpo LGA of Akwa Ibom state.

According to the Guardian, the clash led to the fleeing of the community leader, Chief Mendie Josiah Udoekoriko.

This is happening just a few years after a pastor was allegedly shot in Chief Josiah’s palace. As at that time, Gov. Emmanuel Udom however, offered amnesty to the cultists.

However, this recent incident was said to have started when a cult group identified as Iceland invaded Udianga Enem. Oto from obon was the leader of the attack. The Iceland group was said to have invaded the community to retrieve items stolen from them.
