The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with South East Leaders yesterday and he promised the people how he plans to do things differently if he becomes President.
Asiwaju stated his agenda to fight corruption and to bring people stealing states funds to justice under the law. The Governor Of Ebonyi state, David Umahi also spoke to Tinubu about how the South East is being eluded from top positions since after the Civil War.
Arise TV Director news and Political analyst, Sumner Sambo has analyzed that the statistics are not favoring the Asiwaju campaign. Sambo argued that the high cost of living makes it difficult for Asiwaju to convince Nigerians about his plan.
He said;
”It’s very good that they can actually speak with the people of the South East and that they can do things better. But considering the high cost of living and of course the data from the Bureau of statistics where over 100 million Nigerians are poor. It will be difficult for Tinubu to campaign with the data of 100 million Nigerians being poor. It has been difficult to sell the message of renewed hope.”
