Okonkwo emphasized that he uploaded his statement on social media for everyone to read, and questioned why Arise News would report something that was not true. He stated, “Is it that when you want to hide anything from Nigerians, you put it in a book? No. Arise should have done better.”

Okonkwo’s denial and demand for a retraction clarify any confusion caused by the reported fake news. He remains a member of the Labour Party and has not made any statements indicating otherwise.

“It’s fake news and that’s the whole idea of me uploading my statement on the Social media and that’s why I’m asking you where did you get it from?
