JUST IN: Local Government Chairman in Osun State Resigns, Gives Reason

The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of Odo-Otin Local Government Area in Osun State, Hon. Adewale Adeyinka, has resigned.

Sources close to the government reveal that Adeyinka’s resignation is linked to the upcoming local government election scheduled for February 22, 2025.

According to a source, almost all council chairmen in the state have resigned to prepare for the polls.

“Almost all Council Chairmen have resigned to prepare for Feb Council polls”, he said.

Adeyinka’s resignation letter, dated July 17, 2024, and addressed to Governor Ademola Adeleke, cites his desire to pursue further opportunities to serve his people.

He expressed gratitude for the experience and assured the governor that the progress made during his tenure would continue.
