JUST IN: NECO Releases 2024 Examination Results for Unity Schools

The National Examination Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2024 Common Entrance Examination for Unity schools.

The announcement was made by the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, at a press briefing on Tuesday.

The examination, conducted on Saturday, June 1, 2024, saw a total of 71,291 candidates participate in 599 centres across the country.

Lagos State led the pack with 17,751 candidates, followed closely by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 10,209, and Anambra State with 4,972 candidates.

According to NECO’s data, 4,360 candidates were absent, while 66,931 sat for the examination.

The minister revealed that the candidate with the highest score had 203 out of a possible 210.

Minister Sununu said the admission process will follow the usual 60% merit-based criteria.
