Popular Nigerian music star Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, widely known as Kizz Daniel, has offered a candid take on the realities of wealth and the emotional burdens that often accompany it.
In a recent post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, the “Woju” hitmaker reflected on the often-overlooked side of financial success, suggesting that happiness and wealth don’t always go hand in hand.
According to the award-winning artist, while many people believe money will solve their problems, the reality for those who have achieved affluence is far more complex. Kizz Daniel expressed that many individuals who appear to have it all are silently dealing with sadness, stress, and isolation, despite their financial comfort.
He pointed out how social media contributes to this illusion, as many people project images of joy and abundance online, concealing their true emotional struggles.
“I still live like a regular guy,” he wrote. “I don’t chase money—it comes to me. But that doesn’t mean life becomes perfect. In fact, the more money you have, the more problems seem to follow.”
He further emphasized that wealthy individuals rarely open up about the downsides of financial success because doing so would challenge the perception of superiority that wealth often brings.
“They won’t tell you the truth because they want to maintain that sense of power and prestige,” he said.
