Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture, Abubakar Malami, the Attorney-General and minister of Justice of the Federation and the Federal Government has been sued to court by Inibehe Effiong, a human rights lawyer, over the suspension of Twitter in Nigeria.

Effiong, the human right activist via a tweet said, complaint to the court, was that the court should reverse the suspension made by Lai Mohamned, FG and Abubakar Salami, and declare it illegal, because the suspension of the social media platform is null, void, unconstitutional, undemocratic, unjustifiable, and according to the Constitution it is an infringement on the rights of Nigerians, to use the app to for express and receive information.
The human right activist said, he has over 45,500 Followers and follows tons of people after joining the platform.

He said the platform is used by people to express thier daily views, expose government agencies corruption, political stake holders and others.

He said Lai mohammed sued to court over twitter suspension is coming after

the micro blogging app was suspended after the president genocidal tweet was deleted after many report was made to Twitter.

Effoing Alleged that the platform has a community rules, which must be abided to even by the president.
