Man Utd has been a rumored destination for Real Madrid’s French star Raphael Varane. Reports from Spain have suggested that Man Utd agreed with Madrid to sign the 28-year-old defender.
Pipi Estrada, a journalist in Spain, disclosed that they are an agreement between Man Utd and Madrid for the signature of the French star. Although, a transfer fee has not been disclosed yet. Varane might be heading to the Premier League
According to The Independent, Varane is ready to join the Red Devils if his wage demands are met. However, Edu Aguirre, a journalist, has said the Frenchman is not ready to leave the Spanish giants.
Varane’s future would be decided soon as his time with France at Euro 2020 ended with elimination to Switzerland yesterday.
Ole Gunnar Solkjaer would be willing to strengthen his defence ahead of the new Premier League campaign. Man Utd conceded 44 goals in the league last season. Ole would be willing to reduce this number to challenge for the Premier League title.
Raphael Varane would cost around £45 million.
