Former Supreme Court Justice Mary Odili has addressed the growing political unrest in Rivers State, acknowledging existing challenges while advocating for dialogue and restraint among political actors.
Amid the escalating tensions, Odili emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and resolving conflicts through constructive engagement. She urged political stakeholders to prioritize the well-being of the people and focus on ensuring stability, development, and progress.
“Challenges undoubtedly exist, but it is our collective responsibility to address them with wisdom and a commitment to the common good. Every political issue can be resolved through sincere dialogue and adherence to democratic values,” she stated.
As a respected figure in legal and governance matters, Odili underscored the significance of upholding the rule of law and following constitutional processes in resolving disputes. She stressed that leadership should center on service delivery and the interests of the people, rather than political rivalries and power struggles.
