On Wednesday, Biafra political activist Nnamdi Kanu alleged that Dave Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi State, was busy using his office’s powers to forcefully relocate killer herdsmen back into the state communities, reports AllNews.
The fugitive leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Kanu, also claimed that Umahi, who not long ago defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC), eyes the vice-presidential slot of the national ruling party in 2023.
This newspaper acknowledges that one of its methods is propaganda from Kanu’s IPOB – canvassing for Eastern Nigeria’s sovereignty.
“I want the world to know that all Fulani herdsmen attack in Ebonyi State has the backing of Dave Umahi. This video is incontrovertible proof,” Kanu wrote, accompanying his post with a clip of some men moving in the forest.
“As #ESN has been busy securing our land in recent weeks against attacks from state-backed foreign terrorists from Mali, Sene-Gambia, Niger & Chad, Gov Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has equally been busy using the powers of his office and the backing of Fulani soldiers in military uniform to forcibly relocate these killers back into Ebonyi communities, precisely those areas where #ESN previously dislodged them from.
“These are the type of demons Fulani Janjaweed planted as our RULERS in our land, not just in Igboland, but across the entire Eastern Region.
“The same Fulani terrorists #ESN drove away are seen here returning to Ndi Agu Ezima Agbabor ISU Onicha LGA, Ebonyi State, where we removed them from a few weeks back. All because Dave Umahi wants to be an APC vice-presidential candidate in 2023 #Zoo elections.
“Igbo governors and their handful of praise singers are the very worst enemies of our people.”
Kanu has been a strong critic of many Nigerian politicians. He does not hold back in criticising political office holders in the West African nation at any opportunity.
Kanu declared the creation of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) about two weeks ago. Their aim, to “protect Biafrans against terrorists“.
