Many Nollywood actors and social media users have expressed sorrow and sadness after the revelation made by renowned actress Ngozi Ezeonu over the untimely death of a colleague named Obi.
The veteran expressed her profound sorrow and grief over the man’s sudden death on her Instagram page on Sunday, May 19.
Ngozi Ezeonu posted a video with pictures of Obi as she conveyed her sorrow at her colleague’s unexpected departure and acknowledged how hard it was to live without him.
She also underlined that good people are not created to last a lifetime.
She wrote: “Obi, this is so hard to believe that you’re gone. Indeed, good people don’t last. Rest on brother. “
The Nigerian movie industry has lost many of its great veterans and budding actors to the cold grip of death since the beginning of 2024. The industry, over the years, has lost numerous seasoned veterans and budding talents.
Sisi Quadri, Mr Ibu, Ethel Ekpe, Olofa Ina, Amaechi Muonagor, Aderounmu Adejumoke, and Junior Pope are some performers who sadly passed away.
Some of these actors gave up the ghost after battling life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, and diabetes. Others also experienced financial challenges and had to solicit funds to survive.
