Prominent Nigerian businessman and billionaire, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, recently corrected his son during his 50th birthday celebration for what many perceived as a show of disrespect toward former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The birthday event, which took place in Abuja, attracted a host of high-profile guests including actor Kanayo O. Kanayo, businessman Kennedy Okonkwo, Cubana Chief Priest, comedian AY Makun, E-Money, media personality Daddy Freeze, Pastor Jerry Eze, socialite Jowizaza, actor Zubby Michael, and several others.
In a now-viral video circulating on social media, Peter Obi is seen approaching Obi Cubana, who stood up to greet him warmly. However, his son remained seated as the politician walked over and extended his hand in greeting. Observing this, Obi Cubana promptly called his son to order for not rising to acknowledge the presence of the former Anambra State governor.
The brief moment drew reactions online, with many applauding Obi Cubana for instilling respect and values in his children despite his wealth and status.
