On Monday, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, addressed rumors circulating about his alleged relocation to London. He dismissed the rumors as unfounded and misleading during a Bible Study session.
Pastor Kumuyi emphasized the ministry’s longstanding commitment to teaching and proclaiming the Bible openly and fearlessly. He stated, “Over the years, by the grace of God, we believe and teach and proclaim the Bible and any information you want to have, you have from us here. We teach and preach plainly and we are not afraid of anyone or the consequence of what we teach in the Bible.”
The rumors, which suggested that he had permanently moved to England, were described by Kumuyi as the work of “troublemakers” and “church scatterers” aiming to sow discord within the congregation.
He explained that his recent travels, which included a series of crusades and conferences, were misconstrued. “I didn’t relocate anywhere but because I went to a crusade and conference which is not being transmitted here because of time difference,” he said. His journey included stops in Aba, the Philippines, Dubai, and other cities in the UAE, after which he took a brief period of rest in London.
Pastor Kumuyi urged his followers to be discerning about the information they consume, warning against the influence of those who spread falsehoods. He cautioned, “They are careless, corrupt and deliberately want to poison your mind against your pastor. All those people that creep in, either they are sitting among us here to hear what we are saying and then to go and tell a lie to the world through Social Media, they are ungodly men turning the grace of God into lasciviousness.”
In closing, Pastor Kumuyi reassured his congregation of his continued dedication to the ministry and encouraged them to remain vigilant against misinformation.
