Emmanuel Kanu, the brother of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, has said that they have been refused access to the IPOB leader.
Since his return from Kenya to Nigeria, the IPOB leader has been held in the custody of the Department of State Services.
Emmanuel told The Nation that their efforts to see him through a lawyer had been unsuccessful.
“We have been refused access to him,” he added. We have made many attempts to visit him through our lawyer, all to no effect. My brother should be able to see his own personal doctor. It is our position and stance.
“Perhaps they plan to kill him, since I don’t see why they wouldn’t let us see him. As we speak, certain legal actions are being taken since we do not trust the court process in this country, but we will do all we can. “
