Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has revealed that he once had an interest in crossdresser Idris Okunneye, also known as Bobrisky, without realizing Bobrisky was a man.
Speaking in a recent interview with Echo Room, Portable disclosed that he had initially slid into Bobrisky’s direct messages on social media with the intention of pursuing a romantic relationship. However, he later backed out after discovering Bobrisky’s true gender identity.
The singer further stated that he remains friends with Bobrisky but has advised him to stop presenting himself as a woman, as he believes it goes against the will of God.
“Bobrisky is my friend, but we had a misunderstanding because I advised him to live differently. I told him to stop portraying himself as a woman because it’s not right in the eyes of God,” Portable explained.
He added, “I initially wanted to date Bobrisky and even sleep with him, not knowing he wasn’t a woman. If I have offended Bobrisky in any way, I ask for forgiveness because I always speak my truth.”
