Sanusi Reveals Who To Blame For Hardship In Nigeria, Not Tinubu

Published by admin on

Former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, has blamed former President Muhammadu Buhari for the current hardship in Nigeria.

Speaking during a virtual religious event on Sunday, Sanusi said that Buhari’s administration failed to heed his counsel on how to salvage the country from economic woes.

However, Sanusi also stated that it would be unfair to blame President Bola Tinubu for the hardship Nigerians are experiencing.

He explained that for eight years, Nigeria was living a fake lifestyle with huge debt from foreign and domestic debts.

Sanusi insisted that there was no other alternative than to remove the subsidy on fuel. He also vowed to criticize Tinubu if he sees any wrong economic policy in the future.

In his words;

“If I am to be fair and just to President Bola Tinubu, he is not to blame for the current hardship; for eight years, we were living a fake lifestyle with huge debt from foreign and domestic debts.

“I can’t join other Nigerians criticising Tinubu on the current economic hardship, and I am not saying he is a saint free from wrongdoing, but in this current economic situation, President Tinubu is not to be blamed.”

May I humbly asked these questions: WIll Nigeria’s situation end in blames and passing the buck? We all saw the eight years and still voted APC. Do we still need to be talking in parables? Shouldn’t we think of a solution? Another four years of famine is with us! Can’t we call for a total system overhaul and/or restructuring? Are we saying that Power no longer belongs to the People? What are we really waiting for?
