Seyi Tinubu’s friends ask young Nigerians to shun protests, say it is fueled by ‘political sentiments’

A group, Friends of Seyi Tinubu (FOST), has urged Nigerians to exercise calm and restraint ahead of planned protests over hardship and widespread hunger.

The group’s president, Manuel Adejorin, expressed concerns about the potential impact of protests on public safety, economic stability, and social cohesion.

Adejorin said there is a need for caution, unity, and constructive engagement in addressing the nation’s challenges.

He encouraged Nigerians to work together to create new models, identify solutions, support governmental initiatives, and remain hopeful for a brighter future.

They acknowledged President Bola Tinubu’s significant achievements, including the establishment of the Students Loan through NELFUND and the landmark Supreme Court judgment on Local government autonomy.

FOST urged protesters to engage in peaceful and constructive dialogue with leaders, resisting the urge to participate in protests driven by selfish interests, political sentiments, and tribal bigotry.

They also cautioned against being used as pawns in political and economic manipulation, urging Nigerians to focus on constructive solutions and protect the nation.
