Doyin Okupe, the director general of the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), recently explained why Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, maintains paying visits to both former politicians and current political influencers in the country.
In an interview on Channels Television, Doyin Okupe suggested that his Principal, Peter Obi, meet with certain political insiders in the nation to keep everyone on the same page.
He declared, “Someone who was beloved by Nigerians won an election in our nation, but he did not rule that.” He observed that by bringing everyone along, they are attempting to avert such.
He continued by saying that even if these political brokers don’t initially agree with them, let them see we do not view anyone or any political party as our opponents or those who disagree with us. We are merely a group of folks who had good intentions for the nation.
