As Nigeria approaches the most crucial period in its electoral cycle, a chieftain of the Labour Party (LP), Isaac Balami has come out to give reasons why youths are taking charge of their future by engaging vehemently with anyone who questions their support for his party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Speaking during an interview on ARISE TV’s ‘Prime Time’ on Friday night, Balami, who is a member of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Organization, dismissed claims that Obi’s supporters are unnecessarily unruly and aggressive toward other camps, insisting that the youths in Nigeria are merely expressing their anger toward the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the myriad challenges that have made life difficult for many young persons In the country.
“The APC kept students at home for 8 months and they except youths to clap for them. The APC also expects youths to be happy when there is a 33% unemployment rate and people are on the streets without jobs. This is what Obidients youths are angry about,” he said.
