A Nigerian football club, Sunshine Stars, has issued a statement declaring that three of their players, Abdulrafiu Taiwo, Osimaga Duke, and Lucky Nwafor, are wanted.

Sunshine Stars stated that the trio failed to participate in the team’s pre-season training without the club’s permission.

The Owena Waves have cautioned other clubs and agents against engaging in any transfer dealings with the players without their consent.

They have emphasized that the players are still under contract with Sunshine Stars and any unauthorized attempt to secure their services will result in legal action.

The rest of the Sunshine Stars players and coaching crew are currently in Akure, preparing for the upcoming 2024-2025 NPFL season. It is expected that the Akure club will engage in a series of friendly matches in preparation for the new season.

Meanwhile, Christian Nwoke has returned to Sporting Lagos after his unsuccessful attempt to secure a move to Enyimba.

Reports indicate that there was a disagreement between Nwoke’s representatives and Enyimba regarding the deal.

Nwoke is now back in training with his Sporting Lagos teammates. It is anticipated that the goalkeeper will secure a move to another club before the close of the transfer window.

Reports claimed that an unnamed club in Denmark is interested in Nwoke who recorded eight clean sheets in the NPFL last season.
