The former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) has called on the acting leader of the Pan-Yoruba sociopolitical organization, Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo to reconsider his decision to support the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi judging from the fact that Tinubu who is from Southwest is also in the race.
FFK in a blog post said that the cost of supporting Peter Obi is very high and might destroy the unity of Afenifere since the leader of the group, Pa Reuben Fasoranti endorsed Tinubu.
Speaking further, FFK asked if Ohanaeze Ndigbo will ever support a Yoruba Presidential Candidate over an Igbo one, and that since the Southern politicians who met in Asaba, Delta State agreed that power should go to the South (South-South, South-West and South-East), it won’t be wrong if Afenifere supports Tinubu as they (Southern politicians) never agreed to micro-zone it to Southeast.
Recall that while Pa Ayo Adebanjo endorsed Peter Obi, Pa Reuben Fasoranti endorsed Tinubu when he visited him at his residence in Akure. A lot of people have since reacted to this as some said that the leaders are at will to support who they want.
