The Nigeria Police Force’s Jigawa State Command has revealed new methods used by criminal groups to locate victims.
According to a statement signed and made available to journalists in Dutse, the state capital, by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Asp Lawan Shiisu Adam, kidnappers are now disguised as security personnel sent to arrest the victim from their office.

The PPRO explained that in Shagari quarters, Hadejia town, criminals disguised as NDLEA personnel broke into the house of one Cyprian Okechuku and tried to forcefully take him to their office.

According to Adam, the victim noticed that they were carrying a locally made pistol that did not appear to be a government issued weapon. He raised the alarm and began a fight with the criminals.

As a result of the outcry, some good Samaritans heard his call and quickly came to his aid, while the hoodlums went to hell.

According to the PPRO, police rushed to the scene of the crime and recovered a locally made pistol.
Three suspects, namely: Mujahid Muhd, Shahid Ibrahim and Haidar Muhd, all of GRA quarters Hadejia LGA, were later arrested.

He stated that the investigation to apprehend other members of the syndicate was still ongoing.

According to Naturenex News, the security operatives’ sensitization is the result of worsening insecurity in the state and the country as a whole.

Meanwhile, HRH Nuhu Sanusi, Emir of Dutse, has informed Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed that Jigawa is currently the most peaceful state in the country.
