After innocent Nigerians were continuously kidnapped and murdered, President Mohamedu Buhari promised that all criminals who took up arms to disturb the peace of the country would be brought to justice. Buhari also promised that, as commander-in-chief of the armed forces, he will spare no effort to resolve the various forms of insecurity facing Nigeria.
The president delivered a speech at the First Progressive Youth Conference in Abuja on Monday, June 21. The president urged APC youth to seize the opportunity to put the unpleasant experiences and controversies of the past behind them. Ask them to build a better future for the party and the country.
Buhari, represented by the Secretary of the Federal Government (SGF) Boss Mustapha, affirmed that all the political initiatives, projects and even appointments of the current government are guided by fairness and tolerance. He added that in fact, according to regional characteristics, no part of the country has not been positively affected in terms of infrastructure, agriculture and economic support programs.
“As you are all aware, we are currently dealing with some internal security challenges and I will like to reassure you that as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, no effort will be spared in tackling them.
“As I have repeatedly said in recent weeks, every criminal element that has taken up arms against the peace of the country and its citizens will be brought to book accordingly.“
