The governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has banned political mobs from participating in events and gatherings throughout the state. Ganduje announced the ban in a statement over the weekend through his chief press secretary Abba Anwar. He said the decision was made after the mob wielded dangerous weapons, including sticks, swords, knives and machetes at an event in Kano.

We will not accept this and I assure you that I will deal, with any politician who violates this warning.

During the flag-off ceremony of Kano-Gwarzo-Dayi Road, on the same day, political thugs engaged in unbecoming conduct.
